SUB CLASSES :

The Renaissance Class of heavy cruisers was the first to be built at Utopia Planitia fleetyards and was intended to replace the aging Excelsior class. This design though was quickly refit to the better known Ambassador class, which itself comprises several refit sub-classes, and spin-off classes :
